Description
The Zoo has been blanketed in snow for months--but now its time to resume our regular business hours in preparation for warmer weather! We're seeking motivated, hard-working groups & individuals to help us get the Zoo back in shape after a rough winter. These 2 project days will be perfect for Corporate Community Service efforts, teens looking to contribute to high school credits, and our veteran Volunteers who may have been hibernating for the past few months. Projects will be completed from 8am-12pm both Monday and Tuesday. Projects will include: Scrubbing the wolverine, otter, & elk ponds, mucking out the elk barn areas, adding dirt to the snowy owl back area, weeding the bird-watching trail and replacing bird seed, removing fallen debris around the Zoo, trimming greenery around pathways, painting inside wolverine exhibit, and beautifying our many gardens! Volunteers should arrive prepared to work hard and get dirty! Close-toed shoes only, disposable clothing suggested, and water bottles are always a great idea. See you soon!
